ADI-diary.NET

It is fully cross-referenced and automatically generates pupil's balance sheets and progress reports and puts together your accounts and expenses into a Cash Flow Sheet which you can see either as a table or a graph chart.

Quick Start
Creating your database
  • Drop main menu - Database
  • Select menu - New ('Create New Database' dialog box appears)
  • Enter the name of your new database. Example: My New Diary
  • Click 'Create' button
Entering a new pupil
  • Drop main menu - Pupil
  • Select menu - New Pupil
  • Enter the pupil's First Name
  • Click 'New Pupil' button ('Edit Pupil' dialog box appears)
  • Enter pupil's surname and all other details
  • Select the 'Tuition Tab' and select the Course for the pupil
  • Set the pupil's Default Rate (for their fee)

    To select a different Pupil in the same dialog box, click the arrow button in the Last Name field.
Book a Lesson
  • Click on the Pupil Bar (top-right corner) or Press F3 key
  • Select a pupil
  • Double click on chosen empty time slot

    OR

  • Press F4 ('Pupils List' window appears)
  • Drag & Drop a pupil into the time slot.

    Hold Control key as you Drag & Drop to book 2 hour lesson.
Edit Lesson
  • Double Click on any lesson.
Entering a payment

Any booking results in automatic fee withdrawal from the pupil's account. To enter a single payment to the pupil's account:

  • Select a lesson on the Diary
  • Press Ctrl+F key ('Insert New Payment' dialog box appears)
  • Select Payment Method
  • Enter Hours, or click the arrow button in the field to select from preset list. The Amount will be adjusted automatically. Scroll the Amount or enter a new value.
  • Click OK button.
Entering prepaid Amount (ADI-manager only)
  • Select the pupil's profile by pressing Ctrl+F3
  • Select the 'Received Payment by Instructor' tab.
  • Click 'Prepaid Lessons' button
  • Click 'Add' button
  • Select Hours from the list shown or enter the amount

    To book prepaid lessons, click 'Book More' button, (a blue dialog box appears with a Cancel button) then simply double click on the time slots, the Blue Dialog Box will count down the remaining lessons.

    Note: Prepaid lessons must be booked this way, otherwise instructors cannot claim them.
Edit Courses and Subjects

To enter a new Course

  • Drop main menu - Edit
  • Select menu - Courses/Subjects
  • Click 'Add' button (Next to the Course Grid)
    ('New Course' dialog box appears)
  • Enter the name of the Course
  • Click OK button.
To add Subjects for the Course
  • Click 'Add' button (Next to the Lesson Subject Grid)
    (New line is added to the Lesson Subject Grid)
  • At the bottom of the Grid enter the name of the Subject
  • Click 'Save' button

    To Highlight the selected Course, click labels: Background, Text Color or Set Icon.
Test Centres

To enter a new Test Centre:

  • Drop main menu - Edit
  • Select menu - Test Centres ('Edit Test Centres' dialog box appears)
  • Click 'Add' button
  • Enter the Test Centre details
  • Click 'Save' button
To enter new Test Times
  • Click 'New' button ('New Test Time' dialog box appears)
  • Enter the new time
  • Click OK button.
To book a test
  • Press F4 key ('Pupils List' window appears)
  • Right click on the pupil
  • Select 'Book a Test' menu ('Book a Test' dialog box appears)
  • Select a 'Test Centre'
  • Select the date
  • Click the arrow button and select time (Pickup time and duration will calculated automatically)
  • Edit time if necessary
  • Click 'Book a Test' button

    OR (Quicker way)

  • Click on the Pupil Bar (top-right corner) or Press F3 key
  • Select a pupil
  • Hold Control Key while Right Clicking on empty time slot. (Menu with Test Centres appears)
  • Select a Test Centre (Menu with Test Times appears)
  • After selecting Test Time, the test will appear in your diary
To view the pupil's account
  • Right click on the lesson and select Pupil Account.
To view the pupil's Progress Report
  • Right click on the lesson and select Progress Report.
Entering a new Instructor (ADI-manager only)
  • Drop main menu - Instructor
  • Select menu - New Instructor
  • Enter Instructor's First Name
  • Click 'New Instructor' button ('Edit Instructor' dialog box appears)
  • Enter instructor's details and click 'Save' button.

    To select a different Instructor in the same dialog box, click the arrow button in the Last Name field.
To register an Instructor (ADI-manager and ADI-diary Internet Version only)

  • Drop main menu - Updates
  • Select Instructor Registration
  • Follow the 4 steps
  • When completed, click Test button to ensure registration was successful

    You will now be ready to send and receive updates.
Send Updates
  • Press F8 key ('Gather update information' dialog box appears)
  • Click OK button
  • Updates will be gathered automatically, and placed in the Out-box.
  • Click 'Send List' button
Receive updates
  • Press F7 key
  • Click 'Receive Updates' button
  • All received Updates will be placed in In-box
  • Click 'Update All' button
  • The updates will automatically be entered in the diaries
